SeedCell®

The Brief:

The aim was to create a truly innovative packaging solution to provide users with an easy to use, convenient and overall guaranteed way of growing seeds. With sustainability at the forefront of the design process, the packaging had to be net zero and use entirely well considered and smart material choices.

The Insight:

After spending time with guerrilla gardeners, we discovered the material choices were the key to the success, the material must protect the seeds and improve the chances of germination. Creating an opportunity to engaged new gardeners by providing a foolproof offering.

The Delivery:

Over 10 years we built an internationally successful business and took it to over a £1m annual revenue. We developed SeedCell, the world’s first and only 100% biodegradable and plantable seed packaging product. We carefully designed the product, the outer packaging and the unique merchandising strategies. We successfully launched the product into the market building an international network of sales with major blue-chip retailers.
